Large Scale Roof Mounted Solar Photovoltaic system 347 kWp.

Step Energy were appointed to install a 347 kWp Photovoltaic array, 823 420W Panels mounted in a ballast frame system with 5 x 50KW inverters producing 250 KW DC, which will enable the Leisure Centre to self-generate a large percentage of their energy requirements, reducing demand on the local electricity network.

With a predicted annual energy production of circa 282 MWh. The new system will save an estimated 54t of CO₂ emissions, the equivalent of approximately 2,510 trees planted.

The project is being partly funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is linked to the Council Climate Emergency Action Plan, which is critical to helping reduce carbon emissions around our cities to provide a cleaner environment for Earth’s inhabitants.
